  • Develops, promotes and supports the systems that deliver quality: QMS, APS, APDS, PFMEA GSF, PDD, Yokoten, Jidoka, etc.
  • Ensures that the Quality function is properly staffed with the right level of skills and abilities.
  • Ensures that the Quality staff have the right Quality Culture including the people’s values and behaviors.  In addition, promotes the Quality Culture within the entire facility.
  • Working together with plant leadership to ensure the plant’s creation, implementation and adherence of global and local standards.
  • Enforces stable and in-control processes including following controls and specifications applicable for the products and processes within the plant: MPS, control plan, standardized work, poka-yoke verification, internal ppm methods, etc.
  • Ensures the full execution of all traceability systems to meet Autoliv standard requirements.
  • Confirms quality meets customer and internal requirements – internal and external product/process audits, Customer Specific audits, PPAP approvals.
  • Supports development of suppliers – S-APQP, Supplier Rating, Autoliv Supplier Manual (ASM), Supplier Audits.
  • Champions non-conformance investigations (problem-solving, six sigma, corrective action, lessons learned where applicable, and supports in other investigations as necessary (design, logistics, supplier), NCMs – Management and escalation.
  • Is the default nominated person for escalations according to Category A Management for both internal and customer issues.
  • Ensures that all applicable customer specific product quality requirements of the facility are fulfilled.
  • Ensures adequate application and follow-up of Quality Alerts in the facility.
  • APDS launch support with PPAPs and testing on-time and management of Project Quality team.
  • Reports on quality performance indicators.
  • Management and leadership of Yokoten and Lessons Learned.
  • Approves expenditures within budget policies and guidelines.
  • Ensures work/projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Functions as an advisor to the division regarding quality tasks, projects and operations.
  • Supports Product Line Reporting and Global Standardization.
  • Develop, promote, support the systems and people that deliver quality
  • Establishes the responsibilities of the new employees and is responsible for their systematic training. Accomplishes the performance evaluation of his subordinates, monthly as well as yearly.
